Welcome to the Felanitx Archaeological Route, a journey that brings you closer to some of the most representative archaeological sites in the municipality. From the Early Bronze Age funerary practices at Cova II de sa Mola d’en Bordoy to the majestic Talayotic wall of Es Rossells, by way of the naveta settlements of Can Roig Nou and the Closos de Can Gaià, the route introduces you to the communities who lived here thousands of years ago and to the traces they left, which are still part of the Felanitx landscape today.
Check the map for the location of each site and the recommended parking areas to plan your visit. Remember that access to Cova II de sa Mola d’en Bordoy and Es Rossells requires advance registration.
The Felanitx Archaeological Route is the result of decades of research, protection and outreach work on the municipality’s archaeological heritage. Its origins are closely linked to the Closos Project, which began in 1996 at the Closos de Can Gaià. Over the years, this work has extended to other sites in the area, shaping a project that brings together research, conservation and public access to heritage.
